This page contains some links to organizations dedicated to help foster youth become successful adults. This list is not exhaustive and there are many wonderful organizations who cater to foster youth.  C4YY does not control the content of third party websites and they are provided for educational purposes only.  A comprehensive list of additional links helpful to foster youth provided by the Woodland Community College can be accessed at the link below. 

Independent Living

The Yolo Youth Independent Living Skills Program helps emancipated youth ages 14 to 21 become self-sufficient and successful adults.  They have Zoom meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 to 6:30pm.

Housing Needs

Make it Happen for Yolo County provides essential household goods and resources to underserved transition-age youth, as well as advocates on their behalf so they can build stable homes and independent lives.

Medical Needs

The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has a Former Foster Youth (FFY) Program that provides Medi-Cal eligibility for former foster youth until age 26. Click below to find out more about it.
